Ernie's memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the West Main Church of Christ building. After an 11:00 AM service, plan on a potluck and fellowship with the family at noon.

Ernie passed away a little after 4:00 AM this morning, October 12, 2008.

Ernie got worse during the night. A scan indicated the clot covers half his brain now. He is completely lethargic. He is not expected to be with us much longer.

Ernie now has limited movement of his left side and he slept well last night.

Ernie Groth had a stroke due to a clot in his brain. Ernie's blood pressure is under control now. His left side is not functioning. He is in the intensive care unit at Providence Hospital. The hospital does not want the nurse to be busy all day answering the phone, so we don't want too many calls other than to the waiting room.
