Larry Anthony Denn was born August 10, 1942 in Roseburg, OR. He is best known in the Rogue Valley for his long-time construction business, building custom homes since 1975. Even more prominent in the life of Larry and Wydie are their eight children, thirty-five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Known best of their eight children at West Main are Trevor, his business partner, and three daughters: Wynter, Wyoming and Wyndee. Two of their sons are involved in ministry.

The Denns were married in May of 1961. They spent their first few months of married life in the mountains near Silver Lake. They lived in a tent, drank and bathed in the mountain streams while Larry tore up railroad tracks for Weyerhauser. Before coming to the Medford area in 1965 to work in the mill as a busheler, Larry worked in a mill in Springfield. There he also got his real estate license.

They have recently built a new, custom home in Jacksonville, built by the family firm. Larry works out of a home office in estimating bids and drafting plans. In 1988, Larry was diagnosed and treated successfully for Lymphoma cancer. Their current attention is focused on health challenges facing Wydie.

His interests include elk and deer hunting, High School championship wrestling competitions, especially when his sons were champion wrestlers, college sports and bowmanship. An annual hunting outing with his sons and grandsons is a must do event.

Larry was baptized at West Main in June 1970. Later, elsewhere, he served as an elder before the family moved their membership back to West Main in 1999. He was added to the West Main Eldership in 2004. He enjoys teaching Bible classes, believes in a growing church and applies his building skills and experience in facility development.

He has endeared himself to the West Main family for the close, family togetherness, for his spirit of evangelism, for his thoughtfulness in dealing with special needs brethren and his Bible centered concerns.
